Physiotherapy Service
This is for all the past, current, and future clients who’ve been unable to access care or who've had to discontinue treatment with me due to specific coverage issues. Injuries don’t stop when you’re queer and the ability to receive high level care shouldn’t come down to what benefits you have.
I have partnered with Align, a service that pairs practitioners with a physiotherapist, in order to provide appointments billable as physiotherapy for benefits coverage.
In this partnership I am executing a treatment plan under the direction of the physiotherapist. These appointments are billed to your benefits provider as a physiotherapy appointment. Therefore, they can be covered by physiotherapy benefits.
How it works:
Step 1: virtual initial assessment with Rory Magnier (physiotherapist)
Step 2 : in-person OR virtual sessions with me!
Step 3: follow-up virtual sessions as needed with physiotherapist to monitor treatment plan
Appointment process
The delegated physiotherapy process starts with an initial assessment to understand what’s going on and build a treatment plan.
Subsequent appointments with me will be determined by the treatment plan we create together.
Each appointment will utilize a variety of different modalities such as soft tissue, and rehab exercises to ensure the program built for you works for you.

Payment
All billing is managed by Align Physiotherapy Services through the Jane system. A credit card is required on file for payment processing of physiotherapy initial and follow up sessions, and delegated physiotherapy sessions.
Transparency note:
These prices are higher than the Athletic Therapy and Massage Therapy rates because I am working in the capacity of a physiotherapy assistant. In this role I receive a 70% split on the appointment, and am required to set aside 13% for HST. At this split I am operating at a slight loss compared to the Athletic Therapy and Massage Therapy prices, but I am choosing to do so in order to maintain near equal pricing.
I also can’t modify these prices. They are intended to be offset by your benefits plan. I have access rates and sliding scale options for Athletic Therapy and Massage Therapy for everyone to utilize.
Meet Rory!
Rory Magnier is a physiotherapist with close to a decade of experience helping athletes and active individuals recover from injury and return to the activities that matter to them. Originally from Ireland, he earned his BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Ulster before continuing his career in Toronto across hospital and private practice settings.
Rory has a strong background in treating musculoskeletal injuries and designing individualized rehabilitation programs that support a safe return to sport. He has also worked with competitive rugby programs, assessing acute injuries and supporting return-to-play decisions for high-performance athletes. Rory’s approach focuses on practical, evidence-informed care that helps clients rebuild confidence in their movement and stay active long term.
